The EPA agreed to file a Federal Register notice for public comment on future biofuel blending targets after Growth Energy moved to sue over the agency's delayed 2022 RVO. Under the agreement the EPA must file the 2023 RVO by Sept.
16, 2022 and finalize it by April 28, 2023.
A binding timeline for the 2023 volumes reduces uncertainty about biofuel feedstock demand for soybean oil and corn, which supports vegetable oil and corn demand over the medium term.
