Intecsa Industrial, part of ACS, signed a €315 million turnkey contract with Egypt’s NCIC to build sulfuric acid, DAP and TSP plants at Ain Sokhna. The project is expected to take 30 months and will form half of a planned fertilizer complex described as Egypt’s largest in the sector.
The new plants would expand Egyptian phosphate-fertilizer production once operational, potentially increasing local DAP and TSP availability and easing prices. The effect is a longer-term supply prospect rather than an immediate market change.
After 50 past bearish policy events, DAP moved a median +0.9% over 5 sessions (62% higher; middle half -0.1% to +1.6%), and +0.9% over 20.
