Indonesia’s agriculture minister said the government plans to link corn farmers, cooperatives, Bulog and livestock producers in an integrated supply chain. Bulog would buy surplus corn at harvest, store it and release stocks during feed-supply shortages, while cooperatives would connect corn producers with livestock demand.
The storage and release system could reduce seasonal feed-corn shortages and dampen price volatility for Indonesian livestock producers. More reliable domestic corn availability could also reduce pressure to source feed from other markets during shortfalls.
After 310 past bearish policy events, Corn moved a median +0.3% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.4% to +1.9%), and +0.6% over 20.
