Harvest is about one-third complete for corn in Defiance County and 40% complete in Williams County, while soybean harvest is largely finished. Local extension educators report average corn yields so far and average to slightly above-average soybean yields; late-season rain appears to have helped soybeans recover from an August dry spell.
The reports point to generally normal-to-good local crop availability, with no significant harvest losses reported. The county-level observations are too limited to imply a meaningful change in broader feed-grain supply or prices.
