The IEA reported that global diesel exports in September were about 700,000 barrels per day below a year earlier. Reduced exports from Russia and the Middle East, totaling roughly 1.3 million barrels per day, were only partly offset by other suppliers, adding pressure to Europe’s diesel market.
Lower export availability forces import-dependent European buyers to compete for cargoes from other refining centers, while longer routes and higher insurance costs raise delivered diesel costs.
