Wet corn prices in parts of Poland fell to around PLN 500/t, and some collection points stopped accepting grain, with one large buyer near Elbląg reportedly suspending intake for four or five days. Farmers also reported propane shortages that left dryers idle while harvested corn accumulated, and harvesting was still under way in northern Poland.
A surge of harvest deliveries is pressuring corn prices, while limited propane-driven drying capacity and halted intake constrain the flow of wet grain to buyers. The immediate effect is bearish for local corn bids and increases farmers’ storage and delivery risk.
