China said it will fulfill its promised purchases of U.S. agricultural products only if both countries implement reciprocal tariff cuts covering $30 billion of goods each. The cuts are to be implemented through the developing Board of Trade arrangement.
The conditional commitment leaves potential Chinese demand for U.S. farm products dependent on tariff implementation, so delays or failure could limit export demand and weigh on relevant U.S. commodity prices.
