USDA's November crushing reports included the first monthly corn and soybean crush data of the 2026/27 marketing year. USDA projects 5.65 billion bushels of corn crushed for ethanol in 2026/27, up 100 million bushels from last year, and a record 2.78 billion bushels of soybean crush.
September soybean crush was somewhat weak, though soybean oil disappearance continues to run ahead of last year's pace.
Strong ethanol grind supports domestic corn demand, which is supportive for feed corn prices. A record projected soybean crush adds meal and oil supply over the year, but firm soybean oil demand suggests crush should rebound after a slow September.
