Euronext plans to launch wheat and corn futures delivering to the Romanian port of Constanta from June 2027, according to a grain market expert citing an internal exchange letter. The contracts are expected to be formally presented on November 5 at the European Commodities Exchange in Rotterdam.
The aim is a regional price benchmark and risk-management tool for Eastern European grain.
A Constanta-delivery benchmark could improve price discovery and hedging for Black Sea grain, but its price impact is limited until contracts launch and attract liquidity.
