Sri Lanka's National Fertilizer Secretariat said sufficient fertilizer stocks are available for the Maha season. It reported 218,000 tonnes of urea available against a requirement of 180,000 tonnes, with three vessels recently unloading, and also cited adequate stocks of TSP, SSP and MOP.
Secured domestic stocks reduce the need for emergency purchases in Sri Lanka, so the country is unlikely to add significant demand to global urea, phosphate or potash markets this season.
After 283 past trade events, Urea moved a median -0.4% over 5 sessions (45% higher; middle half -2.2% to +1.9%), and +0.1% over 20.
