State logistics agency Perum Bulog is targeting procurement of 1 million tons of corn in 2026 by expanding warehouse networks and drying facilities. Purchases are being made through farmers, farmer groups and processing partners at the government reference price set by Bapanas.
The agency also plans to distribute corn through the SPHP stabilisation programme for livestock users.
Government buying of this scale supports domestic corn prices and reduces the need for imports, which tightens feed corn availability for Indonesian feed mills. Price floors help farmers but raise feed costs for poultry and livestock producers.
After 318 past bullish policy events, CORN moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (48% higher; middle half -1.4% to +1.5%), and -0.2% over 20.
