Russia extended its ban on diesel exports by producers until 31 January 2027, but allowed selected suppliers to export 2.15 million tonnes in November, more than four times October's 510,000 tonnes. The extra volumes follow a Russia–US agreement, with the first tankers heading to the US East Coast.
Higher Russian diesel flows add some supply relief in export markets, but the EU's ban on Russian oil products limits any direct effect on European pump prices, which remain elevated amid a tight global diesel market.
After 28 past bearish trade events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -5.0% to +1.7%), and +0.9% over 20.
