India's soymeal carry-forward stocks for the 2026-27 oil year are estimated at 1.93 lakh tonnes, more than double the 0.68 lakh tonnes a year earlier, according to SOPA. Soybean stocks are projected 8% higher at 8.31 lakh tonnes as of October 1, while soymeal exports fell 50% to 10 lakh tonnes in 2025-26 as domestic prices rose.
Higher opening stocks and weaker exports point to ample domestic Indian meal supply, which is mildly bearish for soymeal export prices, though a smaller 2026-27 soybean crop of 107.9 lakh tonnes limits the downside.
