Karachi Port Trust handled two foreign bulk carriers at the same time, carrying 50,000 tonnes of DAP fertiliser and 51,000 tonnes of wheat. By the report, the DAP vessel was nearly fully discharged and the wheat vessel had unloaded more than 7,200 tonnes.
The minister credited port staff and said timely import handling supports farm output and food security.
Steady arrivals of DAP and wheat support Pakistan's near-term input and grain supply, so the cargo has little direct price effect. It is a routine logistics update rather than a new supply shock.
After 40 past logistics events, DAP moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (57% higher; middle half -0.6% to +0.9%), and +1.1% over 20.
After 163 past neutral logistics events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (53% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.1%), and -0.3% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
