Indonesia's government is still drafting new biodiesel price caps for distributors. Caps under discussion are Rp 4,000 per liter for subsidised PSO distribution and Rp 2,000 per liter for non-PSO distribution.
The government will keep the current pricing scheme until a revised presidential regulation takes effect.
Extending subsidies to non-PSO distributors could expand domestic biodiesel blending and therefore crude palm oil demand. The final caps and formula will determine how much palm oil the program absorbs.
After 548 past bullish policy events, Palm Oil moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (61% higher; middle half -0.7% to +2.1%), and +0.9% over 20.
