APHIS released an epidemiology report on the spring 2017 avian flu cases in poultry in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia. It confirmed that the Tennessee H7N9 virus was distinct from the China H7N9 strain and described rapid response and depopulation efforts.
The report confirms the outbreaks were contained and does not add new supply risk to poultry or feed markets.
