Southeast Asian PME biodiesel export prices held steady at $710-770 per tonne FOB in the week to July 20 as buyers waited for a decision on EU anti-dumping duties. The duties on Indonesian PME and Argentine soy biodiesel, in place since 2013, are scheduled to end in July.
Expected removal of EU duties could lift PME demand for Indonesian and Malaysian palm oil, but it could also bring cheaper Argentine soy biodiesel into Europe and pressure soybean oil.
