EU governments voted on 11 September to pass anti-dumping duties of up to 42.47 euros per metric ton on liquid fertilizer urea ammonium nitrate from the US, Russia and Trinidad and Tobago. Producers including CF Industries and EuroChem will be affected.
The duties restrict imported UAN into the EU, supporting European nitrogen prices and reducing export outlets for US and Russian producers. The effect on feed grain prices is limited.
After 176 past bullish trade events, Urea moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (51% higher; middle half -1.3% to +2.4%), and +1.6% over 20.
