Federal Milk Marketing Order Class II, III and IV prices for March 2025 were all announced lower than February. The Class III price fell $1.56 to $18.62 per cwt, and Class IV dropped to $18.21.
Butterfat values also declined.
Lower class prices reduce producer milk checks and signal weaker dairy product values, which can soften demand for dairy-based feed ingredients. Pooling incentives shift as the Class III and IV gap narrows.
After 273 past bearish report events, Milk (Class III) moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (39% higher; middle half -1.3% to +0.4%), and -1.4% over 20.
