November 2024 Federal Milk Marketing Order class prices were announced on December 4, with Class III falling $2.90 to $19.95 per cwt while Class II and Class IV rose. The Class I base price also dropped, and the release of pooling estimates and blend prices is scheduled for December 11 to 14.
The lower Class III price and reduced Class I base will weaken November blend prices and dairy producer milk checks. The gap between Class IV and Class III also creates incentives for depooling.
After 273 past bearish report events, Milk (Class III) moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (39% higher; middle half -1.3% to +0.4%), and -1.4% over 20.
