Malaysia's Finance Ministry has not objected to the biodiesel stabilisation fund proposed by the Primary Industries Ministry, according to Minister Teresa Kok. The fund would stabilise palm oil and fuel-related costs.
The ministry has also requested that 3% of the windfall tax on palm oil exporters be channelled into it.
Progress toward a fund that subsidises biodiesel blending supports palm oil demand from the fuel sector, which tends to be supportive for CPO prices.
After 548 past bullish policy events, Palm Oil moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (61% higher; middle half -0.7% to +2.1%), and +0.9% over 20.
