The EFSA Journal published an avian influenza overview covering 16 August to 15 November 2019. It reported one low pathogenic H5 outbreak in France and no HPAI outbreaks in European birds.
The report also noted the first African HPAI H5N6 case in Nigerian chickens and fewer outbreaks in Asia and Africa.
A quiet European avian flu period means no near-term poultry supply disruption, so the report has little implication for feed demand or prices.
