The EIA reported that the average US diesel price fell 1 cent to $2.394 a gallon on September 28, the fourth straight weekly decline. Gasoline rose a tenth of a cent to $2.169, with diesel down 67.2 cents from a year earlier.
Lower diesel prices reduce trucking and grain-hauling costs for feed buyers, a modest bearish influence on delivered feed costs.
After 86 past bearish report events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -0.9% over 5 sessions (37% higher; middle half -4.3% to +0.9%), and +0.4% over 20.
