Canola futures rallied after the November USDA WASDE cut US soybean and corn yields, slashing soybean ending stocks by about 34.5% to 190 million bushels and corn stocks by 21.5%. Canola rose nearly $10 per tonne in its January contract on the spillover.
An analyst warned that demand could eventually crack and push prices lower.
