An OSU Extension survey of 32 Ohio retailers found average spot fertilizer prices as of April 1, 2024 were generally lower than national averages reported by DTN. DAP 18-46-0 averaged USD 785/ton in Ohio versus USD 780/ton nationally.
The results are part of a broader study of local retail fertilizer pricing that began in December 2023.
This is a retail snapshot of regional fertilizer prices that reflects existing conditions rather than a new supply or demand shock. It confirms Ohio input costs are slightly below national levels for growers.
After 156 past report events, DAP moved a median 0.0% over 5 sessions (45% higher; middle half -0.6% to +0.9%), and +0.9% over 20.
