FranceAgriMer raised its forecast for French soft wheat exports outside the EU in 2020-21 to 7.45 million tonnes from 7.27 million in January, on active overseas demand. The figure is still 45.1% below the record 13.57 million tonnes of 2019-20.
Forecast end-of-season soft wheat stocks were unchanged at about 2.5 million tonnes.
Higher export pace trims French supplies available to the market, modestly supporting wheat prices, although exports remain far below last season's record.
After 431 past bullish trade events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median +0.0% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -1.3% to +2.1%), and +0.5% over 20.
