USDA's April WASDE cut 2020/21 US corn ending stocks by 150 million bushels to 1.352 billion, while raising corn exports 75 million bushels to a record 2.675 billion. Wheat stocks rose to 852 million bushels and soybean stocks held at 120 million.
Corn futures gained about 1% after the report.
Tighter US corn stocks driven by record export demand, especially from Southeast Asia and China, support corn prices and reduce the cushion for feed buyers. The slightly higher wheat stocks are a modest offset.
