Graintab reports that the 2022/23 Northern Hemisphere harvest is nearly complete and updated official estimates are easing supply concerns. Defra's June survey showed English wheat area up 0.8% to 1.67 million hectares, barley down 4.2%, oats down 12%, and oilseed rape up 21%.
EU wheat production is estimated at 126.959 Mt, down from 131.168 Mt last season.
Lower EU and UK barley and oat areas and a smaller EU wheat crop tighten feed grain supply somewhat, but the report describes an easing of global supply tightness, which limits upside for feed grain prices.
