Ukrainian processors have lowered sunflower purchase prices to UAH 14-15 thousand/t, about $385-410/t delivered to plants, citing uncertainty over the grain corridor after November 19. Processors also asked the government to consider raising the sunflower seed export duty from 3.5% to 10% to favor oil exports.
Corridor uncertainty and a smaller crop of 9-10 million tonnes reduce crush volumes and meal supply, which is supportive for sunflower meal, while the export duty proposal could shift flows toward oil and away from seed exports.
