November US milk production rose 1.3% from a year earlier, the fourth straight month of gains above 1%. Milk cow numbers were 38,000 above a year ago, and milk per cow was up 0.9%.
Output rose in several states, including Texas, Idaho, and Georgia.
Sustained output growth and a larger herd are expected to add supply into 2023, exerting downward pressure on milk prices.
After 273 past bearish report events, MILK moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (39% higher; middle half -1.3% to +0.4%), and -1.4% over 20.
