Mild weather through early November is keeping US heating demand light, and LNG export flows reached 20.8 Bcf/d, up 7.3% week on week. EIA storage is expected to show a 68 Bcf build before November futures expire.
Light heating demand and a larger expected storage build point to bearish natural gas prices in the short term. Strong LNG exports offset some of that pressure.
After 104 past bearish weather events, Natural Gas moved a median -7.8% over 5 sessions (22% higher; middle half -14.8% to -0.8%), and -3.3% over 20.
