Australia's DAFF issued an industry notice that the EU has published country risk ratings for EUDR-covered commodities such as cocoa, coffee, oil palm, soya and wood. The notice states the rules apply from 30 December 2025 for large EU businesses and 30 June 2026 for smaller ones.
Exporters of soy and palm products to the EU face new due diligence requirements, which may shift some trade flows and affect pricing for compliant versus non-compliant origins.
After 206 past neutral policy events, Soybean Meal moved a median -0.4% over 5 sessions (44% higher; middle half -2.3% to +1.8%), and -0.7% over 20.
After 513 past neutral policy events, Palm Oil moved a median 0.0% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -1.6% to +1.4%), and -0.1% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
