The July 2025 Federal Milk Marketing Order class prices were announced July 30, with Class III falling $1.50 to $17.32/cwt on a sharp drop in cheese prices. Class IV rose 59 cents to $18.19/cwt and Class II rose 88 cents to $19.31/cwt.
Butterfat rose for a fourth straight month to $2.84/lb.
Lower Class III and cheese prices reflect cheese supply outpacing demand, which pressures milk-based feed demand and dairy-linked prices. Rising butterfat and Class IV prices point to firmer butter and powder markets.
