Enerdata reports that the eight OPEC+ countries agreed to raise crude output by 548 kb/d in August 2025 from July levels. With this step, about 1.918 mb/d has been restored since April 2025, leaving 280 kb/d of the 2.2 mb/d voluntary cut.
The UAE also received permission for an extra 300 kb/d.
Restoring most of the voluntary cut adds crude supply and pressures oil prices lower, which affects diesel and energy costs for feed logistics.
