France's farm ministry raised its 2026 winter soft wheat area estimate to 4.59 million hectares from 4.56 million and its winter rapeseed area to 1.37 million hectares from 1.34 million. Winter barley area was also raised to 1.26 million hectares.
Larger French wheat and rapeseed plantings add to expected EU supply, which is mildly bearish for wheat and for rapeseed-based meal and oil.
