The Mississippi River Commission will hold its annual low-water inspection trip from Aug. 22 to 26, 2022, with public meetings in Tiptonville, Memphis, Vicksburg and Morgan City.
Meetings will cover flood control, the Mississippi River and Tributaries project, and other water resources needs.
The trip is a routine infrastructure review with no new shipping restriction, so it has little direct effect on grain freight or prices.
