Russia's sunflower oil export duty will rise by 196.4 rubles to 9,495 rubles per ton in February, according to the agriculture ministry. The duty on sunflower meal stays at zero for a second consecutive month.
February duties were calculated on indicative prices of $1,233.3 per ton for oil and $195.2 per ton for meal.
A higher export duty on Russian sunflower oil makes exports less competitive, tightening supply to world markets and supporting oil prices. The zero meal duty keeps Russian meal exports unhindered.
