USDA's March WASDE caused a stir in CBOT corn and soybean markets. The report showed US corn exports up 175 million bushels and corn stocks down 225 million to 2.127 billion bushels, with May corn settling at $3.9325.
US soybean exports fell 35 million bushels to 2.065 billion and stocks rose 25 million to 555 million, with May soybeans at $10.64.
Lower US corn stocks and strong export sales support corn prices, which raises feed grain costs. Higher US soybean stocks and little room for further soybean rallies keep soybean prices steady to weaker.
