US wheat futures fell nearly 2% on January 11 after forecasts of heavy rain for drought-stressed southern Plains hard red winter wheat. CBOT March wheat settled at $4.18 3/4, with corn and soybeans also lower.
Expected Plains moisture eases drought concern for HRW crops, reducing weather-driven support for wheat and spilling over to feed grains.
