The Brazilian real closed Monday at BRL 3.73 per US dollar, a 0.33% rise for the dollar, after falling 1.48% the previous week. The Bovespa stock index rose 0.51% to 80,275 points.
A weaker real makes Brazilian soybean, corn and meal exports cheaper in dollar terms, which can support Brazilian export competitiveness and weigh modestly on US prices for competing origins.
