The National Biodiesel Board filed formal comments asking EPA to raise advanced biofuel volumes for 2020 and biomass-based diesel volumes for 2021. It also urged proper accounting for small refinery exemptions and the 500 million gallons waived in 2016.
If EPA raises biodiesel mandates rather than flat-lining them, soybean oil demand from biodiesel producers would strengthen, supporting soybean oil prices.
