AgriTalker reports vegetable oil prices fell about 5% in early December as Brent and WTI crude dropped sharply, with Brent at $77.2 per barrel, its lowest since July. Better South American weather also weighed on the complex, with soybean and palm oil among the markets declining.
Lower crude oil reduces the discretionary biofuel margin for vegetable oils, pushing soyoil and palm oil prices lower.
