The FAO Food Price Index averaged 127 points in December 2024, down 0.6 points from November, with sugar, dairy, vegetable oils and cereals falling and meat rising. The cereal index was flat month-on-month but 9.3% lower year-on-year, and the rice index fell 1.2%.
