StoneX's Josh Linville says global phosphate prices have fallen from their highs, with an Indian DAP vessel bought at $725 CFR versus a $810 peak. He notes that China's October 15 export submission date passed without an extension, which should slow Chinese exports.
He expects delayed buyer demand to build and could lift prices later.
Slower Chinese DAP exports combined with deferred Indian and other buying could reverse the recent price decline. Buyers should expect firmer phosphate prices as demand returns.
