The dollar index fell to a 1.5-week low on Friday as swaps markets raised the odds of a December Fed rate cut to 83%, up from 30% a week earlier. Reports that Kevin Hassett is a top candidate to succeed Powell as Fed Chair also weighed on the dollar.
