Gold has jumped about 15% since early November to near $1,900 per ounce, its highest level since April 2022. The rally reflects market expectations that the Federal Reserve will slow the pace of its rate increases as inflation eases.
Slower Fed tightening softens the dollar and lowers opportunity costs for holding non-yielding assets, which tends to support dollar-priced commodities. Gold itself has no direct feed price link.
