EU rapeseed crop is turning out smaller than expected after repeated heatwaves, with disappointing yields and downward crop revisions in several countries. Czech harvest yields are running well below last year, and Czech output may fall to 850-900 thousand tonnes.
Smaller EU supply, plus firmer crude and Ukrainian export risk, is supporting rapeseed prices despite a projected record global crop. Tighter EU availability tends to lift MATIF rapeseed and related meal and oil values.
