U.S. grain and soybean export inspections through December 12, 2024 reached 125.6 million metric tons, 22 percent above last year and 2 percent above the three-year average. Gulf elevator exports were up 13 percent year over year, and Pacific Northwest exports rose 45 percent.
Strong export pace draws down U.S. old-crop supplies and supports export basis, though Gulf volumes are slightly below the three-year average.
