A USDA Foreign Agricultural Service report says the Ukraine conflict, along with other factors, has pushed global commodity prices near record levels. Wheat prices rose nearly 110 percent, corn and vegetable oil about 140 percent, and soybeans 90 percent over the prior 18 months.
The report confirms that tight stocks, energy costs and Black Sea disruption keep feed grain and protein prices elevated, raising costs for buyers.
