Argentine President Javier Milei announced permanent reductions in agricultural export duties at the Rural Expo, with beef falling to 5% from 6.75%, corn to 9.5% from 12%, sorghum to 9.5% from 12%, and sunflower to 4% from 7%. The cuts come less than a month after the administration had reinstated higher duties.
Lower export duties on corn, sorghum and sunflower raise Argentine export competitiveness and encourage dollar sales and grain release, adding bearish pressure on global feed grain and sunflower meal prices.
